How to apply for investment from Rainbow

1.   Check  your eligibility

2.  Discuss your idea with, at least, your organisation's technology transfer office to discuss the idea,  and the Rainbow Investment Manager. We are always happy to have an initial meeting.

 3.  It always helps us if you can complete, in as much detail as you can at this stage, a Proposal form (MS Word 105kB) with the help of your technology transfer staff or send us any information you have already prepared such as grant submissions etc. Don't worry if not all the information needed is available. We may be able to help fill in any gaps: Rainbow investment can be used to pay for market  assessments, patenting costs etc).  Alternatively you can send us a brief outline of your proposal via the contact us form.

4.  The  Rainbow Seed Fund will usually come and meet the team, with the technology transfer staff, to explore the concept in more detail.

5.  Investments of up to £25,000 can be approved by the Fund Manager. Larger investments will be required to make a presentation to our Advisory Board, Spectrum.

6. Investment terms depend on the amount of investment sought.
